Sprout Solutions pricing: Payroll Starter and quoted software
Sprout's HRIS and Payroll software is priced by quote after a meeting. The published offer is Payroll Starter, an outsourced bundle for micro businesses at ₱15,000 a month that covers payroll processing, HR Lite timekeeping and government compliance for up to 20 employees. Above 20 employees, each extra person adds ₱300 to ₱400 a month.
Payroll Starter has a one-year minimum contract and no free trial. Sprout raised it from ₱7,900 to ₱15,000, citing compliance, security and support costs. Sprout Payroll implementation fees were being offered at 50% off when I checked.

Editorial verdict
Sprout Solutions stands out by pairing software with managed payroll
Sprout is the vendor I would call first for a Philippine employer, from a 15-person startup to a large BPO, because it offers both routes: run payroll yourself in Sprout Payroll, or hand it to Sprout's payroll specialists. None of the other vendors in this group combine local software and an outsourced payroll desk for the Philippines.
The weaker points are price visibility and scope outside the Philippines. Software pricing is by quote, the only published price is the outsourced Payroll Starter bundle, and the statutory content is Philippine. A regional group with Indonesian or Malaysian staff will still need local tools there.
If you want talent and wellbeing on the same contract, Sprout also sells an ATS, Sprout Perform, a wellness platform and ReadyWage earned wage access, so the platform can grow with the company.
Sprout Solutions is best for
Sprout fits Philippine employers of every size that want government contributions and remittances handled reliably: BPOs with high headcount churn, manufacturers, banks and other regulated institutions, retailers and healthcare providers. It is especially useful for small firms without an in-house payroll specialist, who can start on Payroll Starter and move to the software later.
Why Sprout Solutions stands out
Sprout stands out for combining Philippine payroll software with managed services under one brand. Its managed team handles end-to-end payroll, statutory filings and remittances, payroll variance reconciliation and labor law advice, which lets a company outsource the risk rather than just the software. Sprout was named Payroll Software Supplier of the Year 2026 at the Global Payroll Awards.
Commercial fit
Sprout sells through meetings and quotes, with Payroll Starter as a fixed-price entry point. Its partner marketplace adds Manatal for recruiting and Peoplebox, and APIs are available for integration with other systems.
The software side suits companies that already have a payroll officer and want control of each run. The managed side suits firms that would rather pay for accountability: Sprout's team takes the statutory filings and remittances, so a missed SSS or BIR deadline becomes the vendor's problem to fix. A company can also mix the two, running HR in the software and outsourcing only payroll.
Sprout Solutions is a Philippine HR and payroll vendor whose payroll handles BIR, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG requirements. It reports more than 2,000 client organizations in sectors such as BPO, manufacturing and retail, and also offers managed payroll services for companies that want to outsource the processing.

Strengths
Where Sprout Solutions earns its place for smb teams
Philippine statutory coverage
Tables for BIR, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG are updated regularly, and payroll handles allowances, bonuses, 13th-month pay and leave monetization.
Software or managed payroll
Companies can run Sprout Payroll themselves or outsource end-to-end payroll, statutory filings and remittances to Sprout's managed services team.
A fixed price for micro businesses
Payroll Starter at ₱15,000 a month for up to 20 employees gives small firms outsourced payroll and compliance without a quote cycle.
Employee financial wellbeing
ReadyWage gives employees earned wage access before payday at no cost or admin burden to the employer, and a wellness platform and emergency funds are also available.
Limitations
What to press on in Sprout Solutions pricing calls before signing
Software pricing is quote-only
Only the outsourced Payroll Starter bundle has a public price. HRIS and Payroll licences require a meeting and quote.
Philippines only
Statutory payroll covers the Philippines. Sprout advertises a product launch in Australia, but I found no payroll compliance for other Southeast Asian countries.
Starter contract terms are strict
Payroll Starter needs a 12-month contract, has no trial, allows two payouts a month and leaves BIR 1604, alphalist and 2316 submission to the client.
Several AI features are not live
Sprout's own menus mark its HR super agent, payroll super agent and AI assistant builder as coming soon, so do not buy on those.

What Payroll Starter includes and excludes
It covers up to two payroll runs a month, SSS, PhilHealth and HDMF contribution and loan reports, monthly BIR 1601C, bank files and year-end annualization. The client still prints and submits BIR 1604, the alphalist and BIR 2316. Offline remittance payment at banks and government offices is available only to Metro Manila clients.
Starter variants
Payroll Starter Suite adds bookkeeping, tax preparation and consultations. Payroll Starter Pro handles statutory payments and salary payouts via e-wallets or cash for firms without payroll bank accounts. Payroll Starter Premium is a custom package for growing businesses.
Before you sign
Questions to ask Sprout Solutions before you commit
Sprout sells through booked meetings for its software and a fixed-price inquiry route for Payroll Starter.
1
Decide first whether you want software or outsourced payroll, because Sprout sells both and the quote, contract and implementation differ.
2
Ask for a sample BIR 1601C, SSS, PhilHealth and HDMF contribution reports and a bank.DAT file from your own data, because those are what regulators and banks will see.
3
Check the 50% implementation discount and whether it applies to your contract, because implementation is a large part of first-year cost.
4
Confirm which AI features are live today, since several are labelled coming soon on Sprout's own site.

Yes. Sprout Payroll keeps tables for all four current and generates the related government reports.
